He earned a bachelor’s degree in history/political science with a minor in psychology, and a master’s degree in human services, marriage and family counseling. James is a certified Certiport proctor and ensures the credibility of all Certiport certification exams. He is passionate about seeing every student succeed and believes that if you do not give up you will be successful.

is a full-time Academic instructor at Charleston Job Corps Center. Christopher’s educational background is in special education , with specialties in math, behavioral management and case management . His experience and insight help him to motivate students. 

brings experience in industrial hygiene, safety management and staff development to his role at Job Corps. Shawn is currently certifying staff and students in OSHA and National Center for Construction Education and Research. Shawn likes to see everyone win, “just win safely.”

has been an educator for over a decade with experience teaching in all levels of education, from the collegiate level to public school systems. She enjoys sharing her interests with her students, but also helping them find their own interests and talents and helping them be inspired and grow. When she isn’t working, Kathleen enjoys dancing.

is a longtime instructor at Job Corps. She enjoys teaching because it allows her to change lives for the better.

has experience as a medical assistant and dental assistant and working in insurance pre-certification for a dental office. She enjoys teaching because it allows her to give back and help people grow.

has worked with Charleston Job Corps Center for over a decade. Joyce has a background in nonprofit grants administration and management. She gained her love for education and youth after working with a YouthBuild AmeriCorps program in rural West Virginia. Joyce enjoys seeing the transformation of our students as they accomplish goals while enrolled in the program.

has worked as a Carpentry instructor for over 20 years. He also is an OSHA and Scaffold instructor at Charleston Job Corps Center. Tommy enjoys working hands-on with young adults.

brings over a decade of experience working with a steel and fabrication company to his role as Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning instructor at Charleston Job Corps Center. Carl also previously served as an HVAC technician at West Virginia State University.

has worked in the technical field for over a decade. Richard is certified by the Building Performance Institute for Residential Air Sealing and Insulating. Richard has a passion for teaching others and watching them grow in their skills.
